Once again, we were proud and honored to have Dr. Bobby Corrigan, RMC Consulting, speak at this year’s New York Pest Expo. Each year we learn something new from Bobby. This year he presented Understanding Rodent Behavior: The Key to Great Rodent IPM. PMPs must understand the top rodent behaviors and how to use those behaviors against them. We can use as many chemicals as allowed but unless we understand rodent behavior we may not achieve optimum control.

First, understand where the rodent likes to nest. Mice prefer warm areas in furniture and boxes near food. Rats need bigger spaces and indoors, concrete hollow block walls (CHB) can become virtual rodent condos.

On 11-11-11 Bug Off Pest Control Center is doing it again. We are hosting our annual New York Pest Expo, and, as always, have an amazing lineup of speakers and presentations. This year we are welcoming back Dr. Bobby Corrigan, RMC Consulting. Dr. Corrigan will be speaking on “Understanding Rodent Behavior: The Key to Great Rodent IPM”. He’ll be going over the top rodent behaviors PMPs must understand; and how to use those behaviors against them.

Bug Off Pest Control Center has completed expansion of its headquarters in New York City. The warehouse space has more than doubled with greater access for shipping and receiving and now includes an equipment-repair center. The showroom and customer service area have been remodeled and reconfigured offering visitors more space and greater visibility of exhibited items. Clients can avail themselves of literature in the resource center and can watch training videos in the multimedia zone. The office suite has been reorganized and modernized with upgrades in the phone system and computer programs. In fact, the entire facility has been wired for Wi-Fi and is a hot spot for visitors.

We are pest control operators! We kill the pests that pester our clients. We rid them of mice, bats, raccoons, spiders, ants, bedbugs and more! As the weather begins to cool, these critters look for shelter bringing with them disease and destruction.

When colder weather arrives we, as pest control operators, need to put on another hat, home weatherization expert! We know where they enter and how they do it. Why not prepare homes to be more defensive. Your clients don’t need voles or mice chewing away at their wiring, or mice running across their counters. We can help protect their families before the invasion.
