The Pest Management Career Training Course 

This course can be used for:

  • Required training for those wishing to become licensed in New York.
  • New York recertification credits.
  • Apprenticeship training for new employees.
  • Category-specific credits for Applicators wishing to add more categories.
  • Category-specific credits for license upgrade.

 

For new students, this course consists of classroom lectures and 2 exams. 

A minimum grade of 70 and attendance at all five sessions is required for passing.  Students who pass will receive a certificate which will allow them to take the state exams. 

PCOs may take individual sessions for credits.

 

TOPICS COVERED ARE: LABEL INTERPRETATION, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, PEST IDENTIFICATION AND BIOLOGY, PESTICIDE TYPES AND USES, EQUIPMENT, APPLICATION TECHNIQUES, IPM, LAWS AND REGULATIONS.

 

  • DATES: August 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26, 2017, • TIME: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • LOCATION:   Bug Off’s Career Training Center 1085 Saint Nicholas Ave, (164-165 Sts.), New York, NY 10032
  • COST:     Entire course, including manuals: $600.00.   Individual recertification sessions for PCOs: $130.00
